september 2010: recital op het beroemde orgel van de Notre-Dame te Parijs met werken van Monnikendam, Bach, Van Ingelgem, Vierne en De Kort.

april 2009: Aan Aart de Kort is de Franse onderscheiding Arts, Sciences et Lettres (Médaille d'Argent ) toegekend vanwege zijn verdiensten voor de Franse muziekcultuur.

Op 2 december 2005 verscheen op het label Prestare van Zwoferink CD Productions Aart de Korts eerste solo cd. Deze cd is te verkrijgen door Aart de Kort een mailtje te sturen, maar is ook verkrijgbaar in de beter gesorteerde cd-winkel en uiteraard via de website van Zwoferink Productions www.zwoferinkcd-productions.nl Op de cd zijn werken te horen van Jan Nieland (Toccata), Gerard Bunk (Drei Characterstücke), Sigfrid Karg-Elert (Acht Stücke), Charles Gounod (Offertoire), Camille Saint-Saëns (Menuet), Max Reger (Aria), Louis Vierne (2 delen uit Messe Basse), Adrian Seb. Shortley (Andante with Variations) en Heathcoat Statham (Rhapsody on a ground).

"This versatile instrument is unique. Its many 8' voices, French reeds and other colorful reeds and flutes possess dinstinctive character, while the ensembles are vibrant, blessed by a six-second reverberation.
Aart de Kort is a fine musician with excellent technique and abundant interpretive abilites. His program of lesser-known Romantic gems includes his own succesfull transcriptions of three appealing works: Reger's Aria, Gounod's Offertoire from the Messe Solennelle and Saint-Saëns Menuet from the Op. 65 Septet. Dutch works include a sturdy Toccata by Jan Nieland and three of the Acht Characterstücke by Gerard Bunk, reminiscent of Grieg and Schumann. Karg-Elert's Acht Stücke, Op. 154, amply demonstrates the organ's colors. De Kort plays tow movements from Vierne's final work, the brooding Messe basse pour les defunts, Op. 62. The Andante with [seven] variations by Englishman Adrian Sebastian Shortley is reminiscent of Wesley. The manuscript was discovered by Mr. Kort in a secondhand Subbass pipe! Rhapsody on a ground by Heathcote Statham is a masterful, virtuosk work that surely deserves to be better known. Its 21 variations are reminiscent of Willan and Reger. While the performer, instrument, and repertoire on this recording may be relatively obscure, all are eminently worth hearing." (The American organist, januari 2007)
